The Inspiration: Imposing, but gentle, making a statement and getting things done without breaking a sweat. That's what it means to be lithe. Living a life of limber motion, one that is both deliberate, but natural, and powerful yet controlled, is akin to living much like a serpent.
When we are lithe, our blood flows without friction, and we can be powerful without needing the bulk that comes with mass and muscle. Tissues that are sinewy, are both strong and resilient, and ones that can contract and expand without tearing or collapsing.
This mutability in our bodies can be transcribed onto our brains and our souls.
Can we be as flexible in our minds, as our hearts? Being lithe, means having both.
The Scene: You were supposed to go out, just you and your friend. A date for the two of you on the town. But somethings come up, one of your friend's friends has just broken up with her male counterpart and your bestie now wants her to tag along.
This was not on your agenda. Threes a crowd you ponder... but being the slippery ophidian that you are, you accept the company with open arms. A new opportunity perhaps?
This bubbling mess of emotions is now in your care. You wrap her up in your coils, and prepare her for the prey items on the menu tonight.
"What boyfriend?" you ask. She won't remember his name by the end of the night.
You are the queen viper out here. Simply poisonous for these men.
