The Inspiration: The design of three glossy massive skyscrapers was revealed in Toronto by Pinnacle International and Hariri Pontarini Architects. The project, that will change the waterfront of Toronto, is dubbed “One Yonge”. It will spread over a 4-million-square-foot-area and include the glassy triad, five other buildings, and the revamp of a pre-existing block.
The developing block is well connected to the city via the PATH—the Canadian underground system of tunnels designated for pedestrians. It also has easy access to public transportation and bikes. “We are looking forward to developing this landmark community on Toronto ’s revitalized waterfront”, commented Micheal De Cotiisthe, President and CEO of Pinnacle International.
The Scene: Toronto has been waiting for this development for a long time. The glass triad will be a cornerstone of the stone. Breaking the earth in 2018, the project has gotten underway for what will be *the* hotspot of Canada's biggest mega city.
The inspiration behind the hariri one yonge glass triad lens is one of technical design innovation, and glass art.
Have you ever seen a set of frames like these? Much like Hariri Pontarini architects, this design was meant to push out limits and understanding of what is acceptable, of what is considered the norm. To be seen as not one, but a triad of glass skyscrapers, is to steal the view of the entire horizon.
So how about it?
Are you willing to push he frontiers style and design, for the sake of influence and territory?
What if it meant being the hottest thing in town? Would you do it then?
